Meet Angel Morales, Certified Automotive Detailer & Paint Correction Specialist

It was that shiny paint and glistening chrome that first attracted Angel to the automotive industry when he was a young boy. Angel dreamed of owning his own business which involved working with cars and maintaining them at a high level.

Angel started by maintaining his own vehicles and took pride in making them shine. His attention to details and the skills he developed caused family and friends to ask if he could do the same to their cars. With time this inspired other people to reach out to him and what started as a hobby grew into a passion for detailing. Over the next several years, Angel has been following his dream, building his own automotive detailing business, focused on excellence and quality results.

In 2016, he decided to take his passion to the next level and like most perfectionists, Angel began researching ways to improve his skills.

He found Renny Doyle, nationally renowned as the "Detailer of Air Force One", a Master level automotive and aircraft detailer based out of Big Bear Lake, CA. Angel enrolled and completed Doyle's 5-day training class. Angel continues sharpening his skills by being active in year round trainings and networking with professional detailers in his network.

Doyle's Detailing Success changed Angel's outlook. Inspired by what he learned, not just about detailing, but how to manage a detailing business, how to repair headlights, and how to get a greater shine out of a vehicle's paint than he had ever been able to do before! He has also received training in the application of ceramic coatings, and pursued his dual certification with the IDA.

Armed with new polishing techniques, a better understanding of paint and how it interacts with the environment, a demand for more innovative equipment and professional-grade only products, Angel is fast becoming one of San Diego and the Inland Empire's most prolific detailers.

Angel Joins the Detailing Success Network & is Invited to Join the 2017 Air Force One Detailing Team

Angel Morales was handpicked out of hundreds of detailers nationwide for a conveted position on the elite Air Force Onde Detailing Team at Seattle's Museum of Flight. The 7-day detailing event is led by Master automotive and aircraft Detailer and trainer Renny Doyle of Detailing Success and managed by the newly-formed Board of Directors for Doyle's Detail Mafia.

Morales is now part of a detailing team who continues their role as caretakers to the first presidential jet known as Air Force One. The prestigious team also detailed 16 additional aircraft on display at the museum. Those planes include the now retired supersonic Concorde Alpha Golf; a remarkable WWII B-52 Stratofortress Bomber; and the first "Jumbo Jet" Boeing 747 christened in 1969 and whose engine rings haven't been polished since it came to the museum.

The annual Air Force One Detailing project has become one of the most prestigious detailing projects on record. 'When this project began nearly 15 years ago with a Bush Administration official asking me to save an icon of aviation history that was falling into ruin on the tarmac at Seattle's Museum of Flight, I had only five detailers who had trained under me and whom I trusted on such a project,' says Doyle. "We were horrified at the condition of the aircraft, which had served as a flying Oval Office for Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon. Having been entrusted into the Team's care through 2020, there is no room for mistakes on multimillion-dollar aircraft, and I can only trust the most skilled and talented detailers like Morales to help us keep her maintained."
